we squeezed in some fireworks viewing with friends before daddy went to take care of the city's casualties of amateur explosives. they all did great staying up way beyond bedtime. even sweetie pie owie! how grateful we are for the joys of our days...even entering into the sheer delight of children as they wonder at displays of lights in the sky or skip about the yard chasing lightning bugs (adam is convinced that these little creatures were designed by God just to delight children...non-stinging, easy-to-catch, glowing bugs!). i want to come to life with more childlike joy and faith and i'm thankful for the little people who remind me of this all the time.
