staycation 2011

adam had a vacation week last week and it was lovely. we did not travel or get any planned home projects accomplished save planting a few pansies, but we had lots of time together and we are thankful. my sister-in-law kelly visited for some dental appointments so i enjoyed lots of snuggles with my new niece part of the week. marit was quite enamored with her as well. she is precious.



adam was able to take the kids on several adventures to museums and interesting things outside and they would tumble back into the house afterward filled with tales of their trips.

at the end of the week, my parents invited marit and graham to go on their church retreat for the weekend, so adam and i experienced the life of those with one child again. it was strange and i think miles was a little bored without the constant entertainment of the sibs, but it was a very restful weekend for us and made me so thankful for my regular life as i missed them and their chatter and noise and questions and even messes like crazy. thanks mom and dad for spending such quality time with our little people!
